Centre for Justice and Law Reform Fellowship

Last updated:

The Centre for Justice and Law Reform at the Law Society of Ireland offers an annual Research Fellowship designed to support impactful, policy‑relevant legal scholarship. The Fellowship provides a unique platform for experienced researchers, academics, and legal practitioners who wish to deepen their expertise, contribute to public discourse, and influence the development of Ireland’s justice system.

Each Fellow undertakes a year‑long programme of original research aligned with one of the Centre’s core thematic areas: Access to Justice; Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights; Democratic Norms; and Evolving Legal Services.

Working independently but supported by the Centre’s networks, the Fellow produces a substantive, publication‑ready monograph grounded in rigorous, evidence‑based research. Fellows may also have opportunities to present their findings to key stakeholders across the legal and policy landscape.

The Fellowship is structured around agreed research milestones over a 12‑month period and is open to candidates who can demonstrate strong research capability, relevant expertise, and a commitment to high standards of integrity and professionalism.
