Women in Leadership Mentoring Programme – Mentor Page

The Women in Leadership Mentoring Programme matches solicitors with experienced mentors to support career development, build confidence, clarify career goals and strengthen leadership potential.

Last updated:

The refreshed programme will run as a six-month formal mentoring cycle and support up to 50 mentor–mentee pairs. It is aligned with, contributes to and acts as an entry point to the Law Society’s wider leadership-development activity.

The programme is expected to include a leadership and development workshop. Further information about any additional leadership, training or CPD elements will be shared with successful applicants.

Before you apply

  • Mentors are normally expected to have at least 10 years’ PQE, together with relevant leadership experience.
  • Previous mentoring experience is valuable but is not essential.
  • The programme is designed around one mentor and one mentee for the formal six-month cycle.
  • You should normally be available to meet your mentee at least once a month during the formal programme period.
  • Mentors who are offered a place must complete required self-paced online learning before the programme commences.
  • The programme has capacity for a maximum of 50 mentor–mentee pairs. An application does not guarantee a place or a match.
  • Where demand exceeds capacity, eligible applicants may be placed on a reserve list and contacted if a suitable match becomes available during the programme cycle.

The Law Society will use the information in this form to identify an appropriate match. We will take preferences into account where possible, but cannot guarantee that every preference can be met.

Applications for the 2026 Women in Leadership Mentoring Programme are now closed.

Thank you to everyone who applied, expressed an interest, shared the opportunity with a colleague or helped promote the programme through their networks. We greatly appreciate your support.

We are now reviewing applications and will be in touch with applicants regarding next steps.
