Update on Assisted Decision Making Capacity process
The Law Society’s Mental Health Law and Capacity Task Force has received an update from the Courts Service on the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) process.
The Courts Service process for accepting ‘Capacity Applications’ under the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) legislation is in operation over three months.
In support of the new ADMC process, a guide has been developed which includes:

the key steps in making a Capacity application, and
-
the list of forms needed to complete an application.
