This is Absurd: Well Within the Law Festival
Mr Justice David Barniville and solicitor and author Rosemary Hennigan are joining the speaker lineup for the third annual Well Within the Law Festival on 3 September.
Professional life, with its intense pace and complexity doesn’t always make sense - and yet we rarely say so out loud. ‘This Is Absurd’ is the theme for the Law Society’s Well Within the Law Festival, offering an evening to think about all that is happening, both at work, and in the wider world. Taking place at Blackhall Place from 5pm on 3 September, places at this complimentary event are filling up fast! One hour of CPD is available to all guests.
What to expect
Across four acts featuring judges, legal professionals, and cultural figures you’ll hear stories of tension and triumph: what it means to lead when you're worn down, to seek meaning in pressured systems, or to find connection where disconnection has become the norm. Speakers for the evening include:
- The Hon. Mr. Justice David Barniville, President of the High Court of Ireland
- Kevin Barry, acclaimed Irish writer across fiction, theatre and screen
- Rosemary Hennigan, writer and solicitor
- Daren Jacobs, performer and leadership development specialist
- Claire Keegan, one of Ireland’s most celebrated writers
- David Kenny, Professor in Law and Fellow at Trinity College Dublin
- Ciara Murphy, Assistant Chief State Solicitor
- Tom Noonan, Chief Operations Officer, RDJ
