PPS numbers and non-resident beneficiaries
A new email address has been created by the Department of Social Protection to address long-standing delays in obtaining PPS numbers.

The Probate, Administration & Trusts Committee has been aware for some considerable period that delays have been incurred in the issuing of PPS Numbers for non-resident beneficiaries.
Following representations by the Society, the Client Identity Services unit in the Department of Social Protection has allocated extra resources to deal with these applications. They have asked solicitors whose delay is both urgent and long-standing to use a new dedicated e-mail address: ppsnprobate@welfare.ie.
When using this e-mail address, it would enable the speedy processing of their application if practitioners could include their original e-mail together with any documents attached. Emails to this address will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible by a dedicated team of Departmental staff.
