A fun, sustainable Calcutta Run

The Law Society of Ireland is committed to hosting the Calcutta Run as a sustainable and community-based event.

Sustainability at the Calcutta Run

It is important to us that we respect the community in which the run is based and the grounds of the Law Society.

The Law Society has put in place measures to reduce the amount of waste at this year’s event and we are asking that all participants and attendees take personal responsibility to reduce the environmental impact at the event by:

  • being mindful of the community when on the route,

  • not littering and disposing of waste in the correct bins, and

  • clearing up your eating areas when you have finished.

Please do not bring plastic and polystyrene products and packaging, including drinking cups, food/drinks containers or plastic drinking straws. By working together, we can ensure that we are being good neighbours and minimising the environmental impact of this event.

Get involved

There’s still time to sign up for this year’s Calcutta Run in Dublin on 25 May.

You can also take part in a range of supporting events, including a run in Cork on 26 May, golf and rugby events, and a raffle to win a jersey signed by the Irish Six Nations squad. To find out more, Visit the Calcutta Run website.
