The authors and Bloomsbury invite colleagues to the launch of a new book on the Magdalene survivors’ campaign.

About the book
Ireland and the Magdalene Laundries: A Campaign for Justice is written by Claire McGettrick, Katherine O’Donnell, Maeve O’Rourke, James M Smith and Mari Steed. It offers an overview of the Justice for Magdalenes campaign including the pro bono contributions of many members of the Bar of Ireland and Law Society of Ireland. All authors’ royalties are being donated to the charity Empowering People in Care (EPIC).

Event details
The event will take place on Wednesday 25 May 2022 at 4.30 pm in the Distillery Building, Dublin 7. The Hon. Ms. Justice Marie Baker of the Supreme Court will act as guest speaker, and the book will also be available to purchase on the evening.
