Changes to ROS stamping system
Revenue has notified the Society of two changes to the e-stamping system.
Change no. 1
Where the effective date (i.e. later of date of execution and date of escrow) is equal to or later than 24 November 2018 the “Size of Property” field will no longer be displayed.
Previously, filers were required to select one of the following from the drop down menu: less than 38 sq metres; greater than or equal to 38 sq metres and less than 125 square metres; greater than or equal to 125 square metres.

Change no.2
The following options for “Type of Instrument” on the “Fixed Duty” screen are displayed when “Fixed Duty” is selected as the “Category of Instrument”:

Most of these fixed duties have not applied since 2007. For effective dates (i.e. later of date of execution and date of escrow) later than 31 December 2007 there is now only one option - Lease for Stamped Agreement.
Underneath the “Type of Instrument”, a new field will be displayed: “Document ID of the Agreement for Lease”. The filer will have to enter this Document ID:

New email address - tax reference numbers
The Stamp Duty branch of Revenue has notified the Society that the dedicated email address for tax reference numbers has changed to StampDuty@revenue.ie. This email address should also be used for all stamp duty customer service queries including those relating to tax numbers.
