The Law Society has been informed of a website under the name "McKeever Nolan, Solicitors" at address 30 Francis Street, Dublin 8.

Letters have been sent out to members of the public in the name of this firm in Europe relating to obtaining the benefit on unclaimed inheritance from a deceased client of the firm.

No such solicitors' firm is registered with or regulated by the Law Society of Ireland.

The solicitors listed on the website as working with "McKeever Nolan", with the exception of James McKeever and Brenda Nolan, do not work with this firm and are employed by other firms in Ireland. Their information has been used on this website without their consent. Neither James McKeever nor Brenda Nolan are persons admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland.

Any business or transactions through the website of http://www.mckeevernolanstr.com/, the email address mail@mckeevernolanstr.com, or via telephone number 01 526 1067 are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual regulated by the Law Society of Ireland.

Any information about, or dealings with "McKeever Nolan Solicitors", particularly if it involved the payment of money, should be reported to the Garda Siochana. Affected members of the public or profession can also report the matter to the Law Society by email to s.hayes@lawsociety.ie.

It should be noted that, in accordance with Section 56 of the Solicitors Act 1954, a person who is not a solicitor shall not pretend to be a solicitor or take or use any name, title, addition or description or make any representation or demand implying that he or she is a solicitor, and any person who does so shall be guilty of an offence.
