A file containing over 6 million passwords has been posted on the internet.

Investigations by Sophos researchers have confirmed that the file does contain, at least in part, LinkedIn passwords.

All LinkedIn users should change their password as a precaution. Make sure your password is unique (not used on other websites) and is hard to guess.

If you were using the same password across a few websites, it is highly recommended that you change them too.

Using the same password on multiple websites, while convenient, is a risk if any of these sites are compromised.
