Law Society invites applications for its Research Fellowship

The Fellowship offers an opportunity for experienced academics and legal practitioners seeking to deepen their expertise to undertake impactful, policy‑relevant legal research with real potential to shape public debate and influence reform.

 

Centre for Justice and Law Reform

The Centre for Justice and Law Reform was established by the Law Society in 2025 to influence the development of the justice system and shape law reform in key areas. It publishes evidence-based research, engages with policy makers, and advocates for the implementation of reforms. Its research focuses on:

  • Access to Justice;
  • Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights;
  • Democratic Norms; and
  • Evolving Legal Services.

 

Research Fellowship 2026

The appointed fellow will conduct original legal research and produce a substantive, publication‑ready monograph that contributes meaningfully to legal scholarship and make a tangible impact on the development of the justice system.

 

The Centre invites applications and research proposals by the deadline Monday 11 May 2026.
