Awards of Merit
The Law Society recognises and promotes excellence at every stage of a solicitor’s career. If you are currently a Member of the Law Society you now have the right to use the post-nominal M.L.S.I.
The Law Society also recognises the professional experience of solicitor members with the award of Fellow of the Law Society of Ireland (F.L.S.I.).
Applying to be a Fellow of the Law Society of Ireland
The award of Fellow of the Law Society of Ireland is open to you if you have been a member of the Law Society of Ireland for a continuous period of at least twelve years.
To apply, please complete the short form below with the following requirements in mind:

Applicants to be Fellows of the Law Society must have maintained membership of the Law Society for a continuous period of at least twelve years.

Applicants should identify a proposer and seconder. Each of these must have maintained membership of the Law Society for a continuous period of at least twelve years.
- The application fee is €375 and the designation of F.L.S.I. stays in effect as long as you maintain continuous membership.
