Expansive media coverage of Budget Submission
The Law Society published its Budget 2026 Submission earlier this month which has received widespread attention on radio and in national print media.
Coverage of the submission and our priorities ranged from media interviews with Newstalk, Southeast Radio, Shannonside Northern Sound FM, Tipp FM, LMFM, and Highland Radio to national print media, including an article in the Sunday Business Post on 5 September.
Links to two of these interviews with the Law Society’s Director General, Mark Garrett, and our Director of Policy, Brian Hunt, can be accessed below:

Our Key Budget Recommendations
The Budget 2026 submission focuses on the need for sustainable investment in the justice system to improve its accessibility and the experience for individuals and businesses. It makes recommendations to have a positive impact on wider society, the economy, and the solicitors' profession.
