Justice Matters newsletter
The inaugural Justice Matters issued to Ministers, TDs and Senators on Thursday 2 October.
The goal of this short two-page update is to help them make sense of the biggest issues impacting the justice system – and their constituents.
The current issue covers: solutions to common delays in housing transactions, challenges faced in accessing legal aid, the emergence of legal deserts in counties nationwide and the growing backlog of court cases. It also includes a brief outline of the newly established research centre called the Centre for Justice and Law Reform. The Law Society plans to circulate this early in each new Dáil/Seanad term.
