Whether you are speaking in schools, supporting community legal education projects or delivering training within your firm, this workshop will equip you with practical techniques to make legal learning more engaging and effective.
Participants will experience the methodology first-hand through a series of interactive activities designed to model best practice in legal education. Throughout the session, facilitators will demonstrate techniques that place learners at the center of the educational experience. The workshop is grounded in the principles of Street Law, an internationally recognised approach that promotes active participation, critical thinking and practical application of legal knowledge.
Joining this interactive learning experience will help you ground your legal education programs in the fundamental scientific principles of how people learn, and aim to make you a more effective and efficient presenter on any legal topic. Attendees will:

The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Seán Arthurs, a US-based educator, non-profit leader, and lawyer, and John Lunney. John works at the Law Society of Ireland, where he is a Course Manager on the Professional Practice Course, and has a particular interest in Public Legal Education. He is the coordinator of our Street Law Clinic has led this initiative since its introduction in the Law Society in 2013. He also designed the Law Society’s Transition Year schools programme ‘Solicitors of the Future’ and has led the introduction of School Tasking at the Law Society.
This workshop is free to attend, but places are limited, so pre-registration is essential.
