Applications are invited for the position of PPC Hybrid Administrator in the Law Society of Ireland’s Education Department. This appointment will assist with the delivery of the PPC Hybrid and certain advanced electives. A key requirement is availability for some Saturday work.
Contract length: 6 months
Main duties & key responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out the following duties in line with the Society’s standards and strategic objectives and as directed by the Head of PPC Hybrid.
- Dealing with student administration queries as they arise during the course delivery.
- Collating and printing materials in advance of on-site weekend/weeklong sessions.
- Coordinating on-site weekend/weeklong sessions.
- Liaising with lecturers and organising course material.
- Maintenance of the Virtual Learning Environment EIS database administration.
- Payment of Tutors and Lecturers for the duration of the course.
- Liaising with Exams Department with regards to examinations.
- Providing administration support in relation to assessment and examinations.
- Carrying out administrative support duties for the PPC Hybrid Course Manager.
Knowledge & skills
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Proven high level organisational skills, including the ability to establish priorities.
- Proven ability to work in a high volume, process driven environment with an intense workflow whilst ensuring conscientious delivery of work at all times.
- Diplomatic and professional communication skills.
- Good IT skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office essential; Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with data management systems and learning management systems (e.g. Moodle) desirable.
- Excellent skills in learning/dealing with different software packages Familiarity with the use of iPads, iBooks author and iTunes U an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
- Working with Adobe Acrobat Pro an advantage but not essential.
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
