Valued at €5,000, the scholarship will be awarded to one student going on to study law at third-level. The scholarship will have potential for renewal each academic year, depending on the student's academic progress. In addition to the financial award, the student will be provided with a Law Society of Ireland mentor, who can offer guidance and careers advice.
Many capable students face financial barriers when pursuing a career in law. The support provided by the scholarship would enable recipients to focus more on academic goals and professional development. By prioritising applicants from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds the scholarship will foster more diversity and inclusion within the legal community.
