Dignity at Work

Reports, Policies and Charters

Following a motion at the 2021 Annual General Meeting at the Law Society, a comprehensive study of bullying, harassment and sexual harassment in the profession was undertaken by external consultants, Crowe. The results of this study are detailed in the Dignity Matters report which informs all of the work of Psychological Services.

Resources and Toolkits

In 2021 Psychological Services developed a Dignity Matters Toolkit, and a series of video resources are also available for firms and solicitors.

The Council of the Law society of Ireland is currently considering a Dignity and Respect Charter which will be shared with members in due course.

Live events and training opportunities

We host regular live events and training programmes designed to enhance dignity and respect in the legal workplace, including:

  • Bystander Intervention Training, delivered as part of the Complete Lawyer programme within the Professional Practice Course for trainees.

Our team is also available to visit your workplace and host relevant workshops on request.
