LexisNexis Library is now available for members to use when they visit the Law Society Library.

About the resource

LexisNexis Library is an online database containing cases, journals, commentary, forms and precedents.

Examples of some of the more popular resources on LexisNexis Library include:

  • Industrial Relations Law Reports
  • Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents
  • New Law Journal
  • Ross Commercial Property Precedents
  • Halsbury’s Laws of England

Fair use

Access to the database is free to all members, but usage of the database must be reasonable and fair*. Members will be invited to sign in upon arrival at the library and a member of team will assist them with accessing the database.

The following restrictions apply:

  • 5 x case reports may be printed/emailed per session
  • 5 x journal articles** may be printed/emailed per session
  • 3 x precedents may be printed/emailed per session

Members will be invoiced for any documents obtained that exceed this limit and the standard library charges will be applied.

This is an exciting new members’ service and the library team look forward to assisting you with any questions that you may have about using the database.

 

Session = 1hr or as determined by the library team. The library team reserves the right to refuse access to the database.

*The right to obtain a printout of Materials is limited to a printout of a reasonable portion of the Materials obtained using the printing commands of the Online Services or your web browser software and the creation of a single printout of a reasonable portion of the Materials downloaded via downloading commands of the Online Services or your web browser software.
