High Court Chancery 1 List
Contested Motions without a hearing date will be listed for hearing from Monday 22 June.
Ms Justice Reynolds has directed that any Contested Motions that still require a hearing date in the Chancery List from the adjourned Motions list dated 23 March 2020 and each Monday thereafter to date, will now be listed for hearing on Monday 22 June 2020 or subsequent Mondays thereafter until that List is exhausted.
It is important that practitioners promptly address any motions in this List which can be dealt with by Consent Order or Consent Adjournments by emailing the Registrar (josephmcguane@courts.ie) and exhibiting the consent of all parties to the litigation. Consent Orders and/or Consent Adjournments will NOT be entertained on the day by the Registrar assigned to the Court (Monday 22 June 2020 or subsequent Mondays) due to courtroom capacity limitations during the Covid-19 restrictions.
Motions that were previously listed for 22 June 2020, 29 June 2020, 6 July 2020 and 13 July 2020 stand adjourned to 12 October and 19 October 2020 in the List.
All new Motions will issue for the 2nd November 2020 and subsequent Mondays.
Practitioners are advised to check the High Court Tracking System on an on-going basis. The Courts Service has indicated that it is not in a position to contact the parties whose cases are being re-listed.
