Criminal Legal Aid Panel(s) - Deadline for Tax Clearance Certificate
The time-frame for submitting your electronic Tax Clearance Certificate (eTC) is from 1 December 2018 to 31 December 2018.
Requirement to submit eTC
Solicitors wishing to have their name retained on the Criminal Legal Aid Panel beyond 30 November 2018, for the year commencing 1 December 2018, must submit an eTC to the relevant County Registrar after 30 November 2018 but before 31 December 2018. A printed eTC dated after 30 November 2018 should be forwarded to the relevant County Registrar(s)/Office Manager(s) for verification.
In order to remain on the panel in 2019 a solicitor must submit their eTC to the Court Office after 30 November 2018.The Department of Justice has advised that “if a solicitor does not forward their printed e-TC dated after 30 November 2018 to the relevant County Registrar(s)/Officer Manager(s) their name will be removed from the Criminal Legal Aid Panel(s) with effect from 1 January 2019.”
