Two new Irish-based DLA Piper partners

Two lawyers from DLA Piper’s Irish office have been promoted to the firm’s global partnership.

Barry Noonan (real estate) and Conor McEneaney (intellectual property and technology) are among 62 lawyers promoted worldwide across DLA Piper’s key practice areas and regions.

Noonan (small picture) joined DLA Piper Ireland in 2021 and is an experienced property lawyer specialising in commercial-property transactions.

International experience

Having previously been based in the Middle East, Noonan also brings significant international experience in the hospitality sector and regularly advises on hotel and leisure transactions in Ireland and internationally.

McEneaney joined DLA Piper Ireland in 2019 and advises clients on intellectual property, technology, and commercial contracts, with a particular focus on complex outsourcing and technology-driven transactions.

DLA Piper Ireland was established in 2019 and now has more than 125 people – including 23 partners and eight legal directors.

Irish growth

David Carthy (managing partner for DLA Piper in Ireland) said that both promoted lawyers had made a significant impact since joining the firm.

“Their promotions reflect the continued growth of our Irish business and the strength of our domestic and international work,” he stated, describing both property and intellectual property and technology as “critical areas of demand” in Ireland.

Carthy noted that a third promoted partner – Conor Dolphin (corporate, Australia) – was also Irish-born and trained.
