Legal and professional-services firm Walkers has appointed Stephen Hannigan as a partner in its finance and capital-markets team in Dublin.
Hannigan advises on a broad range of banking, securitisation, and financial-markets transactions, with particular expertise in structured finance, debt capital markets, and fund finance.
He joins a team of 35 in Walkers’ Irish finance and capital-markets practice.
The firm says that Hannigan’s appointment reflects its continued investment in its Irish business and follows a period of growth across its legal and professional-services operations.
Last month, the firm announced 20 promotions across its businesses in Ireland as it marked ten years of operation in the country.
Noeleen Ruddy (partner and co-head, finance and capital markets) described Hannigan as “a significant hire” for the practice.
“Stephen's arrival adds further depth to our offering as demand for sophisticated financing and capital-markets advice continues to grow,” she stated.
Practice co-head Andrew Traynor said that the new partner brought “a wealth of experience” advising leading financial institutions, investors, and market participants.
