Commercial-law firm RDJ has appointed partner Ronan Geary to lead its dispute-resolution team.
The dispute-resolution group, which has more than 50 lawyers, covers several areas – including commercial litigation, insurance, healthcare, regulatory, insolvency and corporate restructuring, and cyber-security.
Geary is a partner in the firm’s Cork office, where he advises on a wide range of commercial disputes. He has worked at RDJ for more than two decades.
His experience includes tender and planning-related judicial reviews, complex shareholder disputes, construction and planning disputes, actions involving commercial landlords and tenants, and product-liability matters.
Geary takes over the position from Darryl Broderick, who has led the practice’s growth during his seven years in the role.
Broderick described the group’s new head as “an outstanding litigator” who had demonstrated a strong commitment to the firm, provided exemplary service to clients, and dedicated himself to mentoring others.
