Maples adds ‘of counsel’ to Dublin practice

Global law firm Maples and Calder (Ireland) LLP has appointed Kat Burke as an ‘of counsel’ in its dispute-resolution and insolvency practice in Dublin.

The firm says that Burke will provide Irish restructuring advice to the firm's European and global clients from Dublin, and will work closely with its global team on cross-border matters.

She has worked for law firms in both Britain and the US, and her background includes complex and contentious in-court schemes and re-organisation cases across Europe, the US and various other jurisdictions.

‘Cross-border expertise’

Robin McDonnell (head of the dispute-resolution and insolvency practice in Dublin) said that Burke’s “extensive experience and remarkable cross-border expertise” would enhance the firm’s practice in Ireland and across its global network.

Maples Group has practices covering dispute resolution and insolvency in the Cayman Islands, Dublin, Hong Kong, Singapore and the British Virgin Islands.
