The Companies Registration Office (CRO) has extended the deadline for filing annual returns to Friday, 11 June.
The CRO said that it was aware of difficulties being experienced by some businesses and professional advisers trying to file annual returns in the run-up to the deadline, adding that it was working to resolve these issues.
The office had previously extended the deadline until 28 May, citing the impact of COVID-19 restrictions and the challenges associated with a new IT system.
Minister for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Robert Troy, welcomed the extension granted by Registrar of Companies Maureen O’Sullivan (small picture), saying it would give much-needed breathing space for those currently experiencing problems.
