Revamped ALG HQ achieves wellbeing cert

Law firm A&L Goodbody LLP (ALG) has been awarded the highest level of certification from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).

WELL Certification is a global certification programme focused on the relationship between buildings, organisational practices, and human health and wellbeing.

ALG achieved WELL Platinum, after returning to its redeveloped headquarters building at 25 NWQ, Dublin, last year.

ALG is one of only nine organisations in Ireland to achieve WELL Platinum.

Sustainable technology

Commenting on the certification, David Widger (ALG managing partner) said that the firm had, over the years, developed initiatives that supported the physical, mental, and financial wellbeing of all its staff.

"In designing our new HQ building, we focused on the latest sustainable technology, ergonomic design, and health-focused facilities that created an environment where people feel comfortable and able to perform at their best," he stated.

To achieve WELL Certification, organisations are scored across ten concepts – including air, water, and light quality, movement and sound, and mind and community.
