The Law Society’s Diploma Centre has issued a reminder that its 2026 Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) closes on Tuesday 18 August.
It is urging those who have registered but have yet to catch up on content or rewatch any of the sessions to log on to the MOOC site to access the content.
The Diploma Centre says that more than 4,900 people from 84 countries have taken part in the MOOC since its launch in early June.
The course explored the fast-evolving world of social media, artificial intelligence (AI), and the law.
The MOOC Certificate of Completion will be available to purchase until 3pm on Friday 21 August.
Those who have completed the course and intend to purchase the certificate can do so through the MOOC website.
The Diploma Centre adds that those interested in finding out about the 2027 course can join the MOOC subscriber list to receive an email from the team when registration opens.
There will be further AI training available from the Law Society when its Micro-credential in AI starts on Tuesday 20 October.
Across six in-depth modules, the course will explore data protection, the AI Act, AI in the workplace, safeguarding, and much more.
The centre describes the course as “bite-sized” and “flexible”, adding that it will provide participants with a detailed overview of the current role of AI within organisations, equipping them to understand and respond to forthcoming legislative obligations as they arise.
