Kilimanjaro climbers aim to raise €10,000

A group of trainee solicitors is to take on Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, in July to raise funds for Ballymun Community Law Centre.

Reviving an initiative first launched by Blackhall trainees in 2024, their goal is to raise €10,000 to support the centre’s work ensuring access to justice in the Ballymun community.

Founded in 2002, Ballymun Community Law Centre provides free legal services to individuals and families facing unmet legal needs.

The trainees confirmed as taking part so far are:

  • Aoife Stewart (McCann FitzGerald),
  • David Cullen (Mason Hayes & Curran,
  • Molly McHugh (A&L Goodbody),
  • Maeve Hassett (Matheson),
  • Niall Barrett (McCann FitzGerald),
  • Caoimhe Cummins (Arthur Cox),
  • Odhran Stynes (A&L Goodbody),
  • Jamie O’Shea (Addleshaw Goddard),
  • Eoin Kennedy (Crowley Millar Solicitors), and
  • Alanna Nic Ghiolla Phadraig (Mason Hayes & Curran).

A GoFundMe page has been set up for donations.
