Law Society tools help solicitors tackle tech
The Law Society has launched a video to spotlight how its technology resources and services help solicitors in practice.
In a new short video, three practising solicitors discuss the technology challenges they face in practice and the Law Society resources that they have found most useful.
In the video, Suzanne Parker (Parker Law, Waterford) says that the knowledge she has gained from the available Law Society resources has given her a lot more confidence about AI and its use in her practice.
Bill Holohan SC (Holohan Lane LLP) says that the Legal Tech Hub’s facility to download materials, such as precedents and guides, “simplifies one’s job immensely”.
Ana Harrington (Comyn Kelleher Tobin LLP) highlights the Law Society Practice Essentials as something that she has found “very helpful”, particularly on how and when to use AI and use it safely.
Increased engagement
In Law Society strategy surveys in 2023 and 2025, solicitors asked for more support with technology.
The organisation says that solicitors are increasingly engaging with the services it is providing, from AI and cybersecurity guidance to training, events and practical resources – all accessible through the Legal Tech Hub.
In 2025:
- 7,082 registered for the AI MOOC,
- 1,525 attended technology courses and training events,
- 9,697 viewed information on cybersecurity,
- 4,544 accessed technology subject guides.
Since its launch last August, the Legal Tech Hub has received 20,714 page views and is the central location online for all Law Society tech resources – including recent additions, such as Practice Essentials.
