Tughans lifts gong as corporate firm of year
Tughans has won ‘Corporate Law Firm of the Year’ and ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ at the Insider Media Dealmaker Awards in the North.
Corporate partner Paul O’Brien was also named Dealmaker of the Year.
Held at the Europa Hotel, Belfast (2 March), the event celebrates major transactions and the professionals who are enabling mergers and acquisitions.
Volume
The judges recognised both the volume and value of Tughans’ deals in 2022, as well as team strengths and use of technology.

The Dealmaker of the Year award for Paul O’Brien follows his work on a number of high-profile PE and VC investments.
The judges felt that deal origination credentials, coupled with keen commercial awareness, made O’Brien the stand-out dealmaker this year.
