Arthur Cox partners with college-football event

Arthur Cox LLP has been appointed official legal partner of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic Series under a three-year agreement.

The Aer Lingus College Football Classic brings US college football to Dublin and aims to showcase Ireland on a global stage.

This year’s game will take place at the Aviva Stadium on 29 August, with TCU, Texas facing the University of North Carolina.

The University of Pittsburgh will host the University of Wisconsin in the 2027 event, with future games to be announced in due course.

The last four games in the series have provided an estimated economic boost to Ireland of €514 million, with over 18 million people watching the games live in the US.

‘Uniquely Irish dimension’

Geoff Moore (managing partner, Arthur Cox LLP) described the classic as “an international event with a uniquely Irish dimension, combining sport, culture, and global connectivity”.

“Our partnership reflects the firm’s international links and our commitment to initiatives that create meaningful engagement opportunities for our clients and the wider community,” he added.

Arthur Cox partner Eve Mulconry said that the event created a “focal point” for Irish‑US business, cultural, and community engagement.

Brendan Meehan (commercial director, Aer Lingus College Football Classic) said that support from firms such as Arthur Cox played an important role in enabling the continued growth of the series.
