Regulation director speaks to north-west practitioners

The north-west general practice update will take place this week at Lough Eske on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday’s session will focus on management, professional development and regulation, including anti-money laundering, accounting compliance essentials, and how to handle GDPR subject access requests.

Transferring a family farm

Friday’s participants will hear updates on conveyancing, including general pre-contract searches and enquiries; planning searches and unpaid property taxes; a Property Registration Authority Update including counter-fraud and the new ‘property alert service’; will and trust drafting; tax and transferring a family farm or business; and new cyber-security risks for practitioners.

A practitioner who attends this day and a half course will complete 10 CPD hours which will include two management and professional development skills, two regulatory matters (including one accounting and anti-money-laundering compliance), and six general CPD hours.
