NBC Global Finance Limited (“NBCGF”) is currently offering a traineeship opportunity for the 2026/2027 training cycle. The successful applicant will join a dynamic Legal Team of four senior solicitors and will be given the opportunity to develop foundational in house legal skills within a regulated financial services environment.

The position will align with the Professional Practice Course (PPC) schedule (full time) and the 24 month in office training period and will provide support to key legal workstreams, including contract negotiation, advisory and legal governance, while meeting the Law Society of Ireland training requirements.

- Reports to: General Counsel (or delegated supervising solicitor).

- Location: Ballsbridge, Dublin.

- Contract: Fixed term traineeship aligned to Law Society of Ireland requirements.

What to Expect as part of a Traineeship with NBCGF?

The traineeship opportunity with NBCGF will offer trainees valuable exposure to financial services, specifically in the area of capital markets, and the trainee can expect exposure to a variety of workstreams, including:

- Contract negotiation of both trading and vendor agreements;

- Maintaining and contributing to legal precedents;

- Performance of legal research;

- Communicating effectively with a variety of internal stakeholders as required;

- Providing generalized support to the Legal Team through performance of ad-hoc duties across the activities of the entire company e.g. employment law, transactions matters, property issues etc; and

- Hands-on contribution to NBCGF’s wider strategic initiatives.

General knowledge, skills and experience required:

They are seeking applicants with:

- Exceptional academic performance in their Leaving Certificate or equivalent;

- 2:1 or higher in their undergraduate degree (any discipline welcome).

- All FE 1 examinations completed;

- Law firm placement experience (desirable but not essential);

- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail;

- Proficiency in use of Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. More sophisticated technology skills are beneficial;

- Ability to demonstrate strong prioritization and time management skills as well as seeing tasks through to completion;

- Ability to work effectively as part of a larger team and proven skills in both interacting with key stakeholders as well as demonstrating ownership of tasks where required; and

- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Other desired skills and experience 

- Exposure to the principles of commercial contract negotiation; and

- Interest in financial markets/products.
