The role

St. John Solicitors LLP are seeking an ambitious and client-focused Solicitor (3+ years post qualification experience) to join their growing Litigation and Advisory practice. This role offers exposure to a broad and varied caseload, with a particular emphasis on litigation, dispute resolution, advisory work and advocacy. 

The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior solicitors on a range of complex and high-profile matters, while also managing their own files and developing direct client relationships. The work will span a variety of sectors and practice areas and may include High Court, Circuit Court and District Court proceedings, judicial review matters, regulatory and administrative law issues, contractual disputes, professional negligence claims, statutory applications, ADR processes and general advisory work.

The successful candidate will enjoy significant responsibility from an early stage, regular client contact, and the opportunity to build a well-rounded litigation practice within a collaborative and supportive team environment. While the firm advises healthcare and public sector clients on specialist matters, this role is not sector-specific and will provide exposure to a broad spectrum of legal work across the firm's diverse client base.

The ideal candidate

The successful candidate will:

- Be a qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' post qualification experience.

- Have strong litigation and case management experience.

- Demonstrate excellent legal analysis, drafting and advocacy skills.

- Be confident managing files independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.

- Possess strong commercial awareness and sound legal judgment.

- Have excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

- Be highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused.

- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

- Be motivated to develop a long-term career within a progressive and growing firm.

- Experience in public law, judicial review, regulatory matters, healthcare law, professional negligence, employment litigation or commercial disputes would be advantageous but is not essential.
