Solicitor – Criminal Law & General Practice

P.A. Dorrian & Co. LLP Solicitors are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Solicitor to join their busy legal practice in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. Established in 1969, the firm is one of Donegal's longest-established legal practices, with a strong reputation in criminal defence and litigation.

The successful candidate will work primarily in criminal law, handling a broad range of criminal proceedings, including District Court, Circuit Court and Central Criminal Court matters. The position will also involve general practice work, particularly family law, divorce and judicial separation proceedings, together with other areas of litigation.

Key responsibilities:

- Representing clients in criminal proceedings before the District Court, Circuit Court and Central Criminal Court.

- Providing legal advice and guidance to clients across criminal law, family law and general practice matters.

- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation, court proceedings and correspondence.

- Liaising with clients, counsel and other relevant parties in the preparation and progression of cases.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have experience of criminal law and court advocacy.

- Have experience in family law, particularly divorce and separation proceedings.

- Possess strong communication, organisational and client-management skills.

- Be capable of managing a varied caseload, both independently and as part of a team.

- Demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and a practical approach to legal matters.

Location: Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.

Remuneration: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
