Ferrys Solicitors LLP are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Litigation Legal Secretary / Receptionist to join their busy Ballymun office.

This is a hybrid role combining front-of-house reception duties with legal secretarial support to their litigation department. 

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients while also providing essential administrative and secretarial support to the litigation team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a litigation legal environment and a fast-paced reception role, along with excellent communication, organisational, and drafting skills.

Experience as a civil legal secretary is a distinct advantage. 

Key responsibilities

Reception and client services:

- Managing the front desk and acting as first point of contact for clients, visitors, and telephone enquiries

- Scheduling and managing appointments and meeting room bookings

- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and post

- Maintaining a professional and welcoming reception environment

Litigation Legal Secretarial Support:

- Preparing and formatting legal documents, pleadings, briefs, and court correspondence

- Managing litigation files and maintaining accurate case management records

- Liaising with the Courts Service, counsel, and opposing solicitors as required

- Assisting solicitors with diary management, deadlines, and court date scheduling

- Audio and copy typing of legal documents to a high standard of accuracy

- Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in compliance with firm procedures

Key requirements

- Proven experience in a litigation legal secretarial role (civil litigation experience a distinct advantage)

- Previous experience in a busy reception or front-of-house environment

- Strong knowledge of court procedures, legal documentation, and case management

- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills

- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, case management software, and phone systems

- Strong ability to multitask, prioritise, and maintain attention to detail

- Professional, discreet, and reliable with a positive team-oriented attitude
