Amorys Solicitors LLP is seeking to recruit an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join their established and progressive practice. They are looking for a solicitor with 3+ years’ post qualification experience who has developed strong expertise in family law and who is looking to take the next step in their career within a professional, client-focused firm.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad and interesting range of family-law matters, including:

- Separation and divorce;

- Judicial separation;

- Financial and property matters arising from relationship breakdown;

- Child custody, access and guardianship;

- Maintenance;

- Cohabitation disputes;

- Domestic violence and related applications; and

- Other related family-law matters.

The role 

You will have significant responsibility for managing your own caseload and will work directly with clients, counsel and other professional advisers. They are seeking someone who combines strong legal knowledge with sound commercial and practical judgement, and who is capable of dealing sensitively and professionally with clients at what can often be a particularly difficult time in their lives. 

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate:

- 3+ years’ post qualification experience in family law;

- Excellent drafting and advocacy skills;

- Strong organisational and case-management abilities;

- Excellent attention to detail;

- The ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines;

- A practical and solutions-focused approach to legal problems;

- Strong interpersonal and client-management skills; and

- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
