Gibney Hogan LLP, an innovative and ambitious Dublin law firm, established by recognised, well-established and highly successful senior legal professionals, is seeking an exceptional Senior Associate / Partner to join its growing corporate practice. 

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the growth and development of a modern, entrepreneurial law firm. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team advising a broad range of clients on complex and varied corporate and commercial matters, with a clear and genuine pathway to partnership for the right individual. 

The firm's work encompasses mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, venture capital and private equity transactions, corporate restructurings and insolvency matters, corporate governance, intellectual property, commercial contracts, and general commercial advisory work. The successful candidate will be expected to manage significant transactions and client relationships while contributing to the continued expansion of the practice through targeted business development initiatives. 

Responsibilities

- Provide commercially focused, practical and technically excellent legal advice.

- Lead and manage complex corporate transactions from inception to completion.

- Manage files and client relationships with minimal supervision.

- Act as a trusted adviser and significant point of contact for clients.

- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of corporate and commercial documentation.

- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships.

- Generate new and repeat business through the delivery of exceptional client service.

- Mentor and support junior team members.

- Contribute to business development initiatives and the strategic growth of the firm.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding results for clients.

Skills, knowledge and expertise 

They are seeking a positive, ambitious and commercially minded Solicitor who is eager to work alongside confident and highly capable professionals in developing the firm's exciting future. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical ability with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for helping build a successful and growing practice. 

Requirements

- Minimum 8 years' PQE, gained within a leading corporate or commercial law firm, with candidates possessing substantially more experience also encouraged to apply as partnership is a genuine possibility for those possessing the experience.

- Strong technical and transactional experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, corporate finance transactions, venture capital and private equity investments, corporate restructurings, commercial contracts, corporate governance and general commercial matters.

- Proven ability to lead and manage complex transactions from inception to completion with minimal supervision.

- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating transaction and commercial documentation.

- Experience advising entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, investors and corporate clients across a broad range of sectors.

- Experience in corporate insolvency, restructuring and related commercial disputes would be highly advantageous but is not essential.

- Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and become a trusted adviser.

- Commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach to achieving clients' objectives.

- Business development experience and a desire to contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

- Commitment to the highest standards of professional excellence, client service and teamwork.

- Ambition, leadership potential and the capability to progress to partnership.

- Intellectual property experience would be added advantage.
