Practice management information

Information sessions on practice management matters takes place on-line over lunchtime every Wednesday. All solicitors are welcome to attend these sessions, free of charge. Each session starts at 1 pm and is 30 minutes in duration. Justin Purcell, of the Law Society, interviews an expert on a topical practice management matter and these information sessions provide all solicitors - not just principals and partners - with a very useful learning opportunity.,

  • On Wednesday 16 February, Mary Cloonan will present on digital marketing trategies and tips. Mary is Managing Director of Marketing Clever, a marketing consultancy that works with legal practices and other professional service firms. Mary will advise on what legal firms should focus on in digital marketing and what you can do to make best use of limited resources. Register online 
  • On Wednesday 23 February, Justin Purcell and an expert guest will review the up-to date situation for legal practices in relation to digital signatures and automation. Register online
  • On Wednesday 2 March, Rory O’Neill of the Law Society will present on mitigating the risk of a cyberattack. Rory will talk through cyberattacks that have been carried out against legal firms and he will advise on how a legal firm can best position itself to prevent such an attack. Register online
  • On Wednesday 9 March, a second session on cyber security takes place. Brian O Mara of O’Leary Insurance will present on what legal firms are covered for in relation to cyber security through their professional indemnity insurance and on other insurance options that are available. Brian will also advise on what insurers increasingly require legal firms to do regarding cyber security. Register online
