Maples names two partners and four 'of counsel'

Maples and Calder (Ireland) LLP has named two new partners and made four additional senior appointments.

The new partners are Caitriona Carty and Fearghal De Feu, who both advise on the establishment and operation of specialised investment funds.

The firm had already appointed two new partners earlier this year, with Claire Morrissey joining the firm as head of the data, commercial and technology practice, and Lorna Smith becoming a partner in the financial services regulatory team.

Four new ‘Of Counsel’ have also been appointed:

  • Eugene McCormick, who specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution,
  • Jordan O'Brien, a specialist in corporate law,
  • Karole Cuddihy, who specialises in corporate insolvency,
  • Vanessa Lawlor, who has extensive experience in advising on a range of domestic and cross-border finance transactions.

Growth

Ireland managing partner Nicholas Butcher said the new promotions and appointments reflected the growth and development opportunities within the firm, as well as the strong levels of activity it anticipated in these sectors.
