Law Society survey to assess pandemic impact

The Law Society is carrying out research aimed at assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on law firms.

The online survey on business recovery, which is being conducted with the help of consultants Crowe, has been sent to managing partners and firm principals.

The study will also provide an understanding of what supports firms will need from the Society and the State over the next 12-18 months.

Concerns

The survey will remain open until the end of March, and the Society is urging as many firms as possible to take part, as this will put it in a better position to respond to the concerns expressed.

The Law Society says the data will be used to represent the profession at all levels, including interactions with Government. It will also inform the new supports the Society will introduce to help firms emerge from the current crisis.

The Society stresses that only one response per firm is needed, and that the survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete.

The data provided by members will be anonymous and confidential, and will be used only for this research project.
