Annual copyright lecture to focus on AI

The second Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and Law Society Annual Copyright Lecture will take place on Tuesday 16 February from 6pm to 8pm.

The lecture will feature an online webinar with a live question-and-answer session.

The title of this year's lecture is ‘The Complex Intersection between Copyright and Artificial Intelligence’, and it will be chaired by IMRO chief executive Victor Finn.

Speakers include Dr Mark Hyland (Law Society IMRO Adjunct Professor of Intellectual Property, pictured) and Barry Scannell (director, Legal Affairs and Regulatory Compliance, IMRO).

Professor Jonathan Griffiths (Professor of Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary University of London) will act as discussant.

The event is being run by Law Society Professional Training. Those interested in participating can register online on the Law Society website, where the abstract for the lecture is also available.
