The Dublin Civil Office has started a pilot mediation service for people considering applying for civil restraining orders.
The drop-in service, which started yesterday (10 September), is being run in partnership with Community Law and Mediation (CLM).
The Courts Service says that the initiative will involve providing on-site mediation support and information for disputes such as:
The service is available every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 1pm on the first floor, Dublin Civil Office, Áras Uí Dhálaigh, Dublin 7.

Introduced in 2024, civil restraining orders provide a civil-law route for individuals seeking protection from harmful or unwanted conduct.
