The Central Bank has appointed Simon Sloan as director of strategy and governance.
Sloan, who joined the Central Bank in 2011, has held several leadership roles across asset management, consumer protection, and banking and payments.
Most recently, he has been counsellor to the governor and chief of staff.
Before joining the Central Bank, he held senior roles in the financial-services sector.
Sloan replaces Glenn Calverley, after his appointment as director of finance and business performance.
Governor Gabriel Makhlouf said that Sloan’s experience and understanding of the organisation, combined with his commitment to its values and mission, would be “key strengths”.
