High Court President for litigation conference
President of the High Court Mr Justice David Barniville will address the Law Society Litigation Committee's annual conference in Blackhall Place next week.
The event takes place on Thursday 15 October (2pm to 5.15pm) and yields three general CPD hours.
The conference, designed in collaboration with Law Society Professional Training, will provide litigators with an update on developments in law and practice in litigation, with insight and guidance from expert speakers.

Judicial perspectives on AI
Topics to be covered include:
- Address by President of the High Court,
- The Civil Reform Bill,
- Instructing expert witnesses,
- AI in litigation – including judicial perspectives, the practitioner experience, and PPC training, and
- Costs update and recent trends.
Litigation Committee chair Ann McGarry (principal, Ann McGarry Solicitors) will chair the conference.
