Around 350 people took part in the Rogers Recruitment Tag Rugby competition last weekend as part of the Calcutta Run, the largest charity event in the legal calendar.
More than 20 law firms participated, with some firms fielding up to three teams.
There were new champions this year, as Flynn O’Driscoll beat reigning champions McCann FitzGerald in the final.
It’s estimated that the tag-rugby event raised around €20,000 for two charities working on the frontlines of homelessness in Dublin and Kolkata, India – Dublin Simon Community and The Hope Foundation.
More than 1,200 people took part in this year’s Dublin run from Blackhall Place on 23 May, while other runs took place in Cork and Galway.
Through the Calcutta Run, the legal profession has raised €5.9 million in support of homelessness services since 1999.
