Solicitor Irene Gleeson joins Pobal board

Solicitor Irene Gleeson has been appointed to the board of Pobal, a not-for-profit organisation that works to support communities and local agencies on social inclusion and development.

She and Savina Donohue join the board after a State Boards appointment process managed by the Public Appointments Service.

Heather Humphreys (Minister for Rural and Community Development) said that the two new board members brought “a wealth of experience and expertise” to Pobal.

Gleeson held the role of head of legal, group strategy, and advisory with Bank of Ireland Group until May 2022.

She is also a member of the board of the addiction charity Merchants Quay Ireland.
