Apply now for 2024 Women in Leadership programme

Applications are now open for this year’s Law Society Women in Leadership (WiL) mentoring programme.

The Law Society is inviting applications for both mentors and mentees on a countrywide basis, and from all areas of practice.

The programme is presented in collaboration with Law Society Skillnet, which is responsible for mentor and mentee training activities.

A total of 247 women have benefited from the WiL initiative since 2016.

Time commitment

The time commitment is as follows:

  • Self-paced training – 1.5 hours,
  • Online Zoom session – one hour, and
  • One-hour meeting (approximate) for each month of the eight-month programme,
  • Total time commitment – ten hours (approximate).

The WiL goal is to mentor female solicitors to advance their careers to a senior level with well-matched participants.

The relevance of mentoring in general, and specifically to women, is also an important objective, given its value to both mentors and mentees.

Matching

Matching of applicants will take place in July.

The mentoring relationship begins in the autumn, running until next May, after training is completed in September.

Interested candidates are invited to view the Law Society webpage.

  • Women in Leadership is a collaboration with Law Society Skillnet and funded by a Skillnet Ireland grant.
