John Given moves from Philip Lee to KPMG

‘Big four’ professional services firm KPMG Ireland has appointed John Given to head up its legal services business.

Moving from a role as a senior corporate partner at Philip Lee, Given will succeed John Hackett, who has retired, to lead a 40-lawyer teams, which is expected to grow to over 100 over the next three years.

The top four accountancy firms are now looking to service all their clients’ professional services and legal needs.

Increased headcount

EY Law Ireland, led by Alan Murphy, is to increase its headcount from 15 to 50 by 2025.

Given said he was excited to be joining KPMG at such an interesting and evolutionary time for the legal profession globally, and here in Ireland.
